Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to compare the post-operative isthmocele formation and myometrial thickness between the uterus sutured with V-LOC (Ethicon Inc.) during cesarean section and the uterus sutured with the traditional method vicryl (Ethicon Inc.). In patients who have had a previous cesarean section, there is a uterine scar. A filling defect or niche can be observed on the anterior wall in the region. This area is called the isthmocele. Isthmocele can cause breakthrough bleeding complaints, pelvic pain and secondary infertility in women. Therefore, in our research, we used V-LOC suture to reduce abnormal bleeding complaints and prevent complications. V-LOC 180 suture contains polyglyconate and the tissue support period is 3 weeks and the absorption period is 180. Thanks to its serrated structure, it grips the tissue from numerous points and distributes the tension evenly along the line. For this reason, the filling defect that may occur in the anterior wall of the uterus sutured with Vicryl was minimized with the help of V-LOC suture, and the myometrial thickness was largely preserved.
