Abstract (EN)

The global world order entered the 21st century as unipolar under the leadership of the United States. However, according to the developments in recent years, it has become clear that the process will not continue with the US as the dominant power. According to the Power Transition Theory of International Relations, the possibility of conflict between the dominant power and the great power approaching the capacity of the dominant power is increasing. In the 21st century, the greatest rising power is by far the Chinese state with its economy, population and military power. As a result of the rapid rise of the Chinese state, conflicts with the dominant power, the United States, have started to occur in many parts of the world. This thesis aims to answer the question of what the effects of China as one of the poles under the leadership of Xi Jinping, on Central Asia will be in the multipolar world system that is expected to be formed in the 21st century. While China is on its way to becoming the dominant power, the effects of its rivalry with the US, the other dominant power, on the Central Asian Turkic Republics is also analyzed. The possibility of rivalry turning into conflict and China establishing regional hegemony is one of the hypotheses of our thesis and poses a risk for the region. In recent years, not only the ideologies and capacities of states but also the capabilities and visions of their leaders have become very important in international relations. China's current leader Xi Jinping is pursuing an ambitious policy for China with his vision and the paradigm he has developed. Xi Jinping's ideology is now the official ideology of the Chinese state. Therefore, this thesis analyzes the policies of the Xi Jinping era. The differences between the Xi Jinping era and the Deng Shaoping era are expressed. The main aim of our thesis is to show the effects of Xi Jinping's policies on the Central Asian Turkic states.
