Özet (EN)
After the concept of emotional intelligence was first used in 1985, it attracted great attention of researchers and a new literature began to emerge regarding this concept. Cyberbullying is a concept that emerged as a result of the rapid increase in electronic tools and internet use, as a result of the transfer of bullying to the cyber environment. The aim of this study is to examine the articles about emotional intelligence and cyberbullying. Content analysis model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the study. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 301 articles which are related with emotional intelligence and cyberbullying between the years 2016-2022, and in addition to this, 4 theses and 4 articles containing both emotional intelligence and cyberbullying together. As a result of the research, it was understood that articles on emotional intelligence and cyberbullying were mostly written in the field of education, and studies on emotional intelligence and cyberbullying increased after 2019. It was determined that the studies were mostly conducted with undergraduate students, the relational survey model was used, and the scales were used as a data collection tool. While the Schutte emotional intelligence scale was used in studies on emotional intelligence, it was understood that the cyberbullying scale designed by Arıcak et al. was used in studies on cyberbullying. It has been determined that while the articles on emotional intelligence focus on business and communication, the articles on cyberbullying examine topics related to the internet and social media. When studies in which emotional intelligence and cyberbullying are discussed jointly are examined, it is understood that the researches intensified in 2019 and were carried out mostly in the field of education and psychology. While the scale was used as a data collection tool, it was observed that the relational survey model was mostly used as a research model. Collaborative studies were mostly carried out on high school students. While the scales of Petrides and Furnham and Jolliffe and Farrington were used more in the research on emotional intelligence, the Arıcak, Kınay and Tanrıkulu cyberbullying scales were used extensively in the part related to cyberbullying. It has been understood that the joint studies on emotional intelligence and cyberbullying focus more on empathy.
