Abstract (EN)

The physical, psychological, sexual and economic violence experienced by women who have been subjected to violence inflicts physical and mental wounds on them that cannot be compensated. Women trying to cope with this situation use various coping mechanisms. One of these mechanisms is religious coping. From this point of view, the subject of the study was determined as "The Relationship Between Stress and Religious Coping in Women Victims of Violence (Erzincan Province Example)". In this context, in this study, the subject of what kind of violence women are exposed to, what their physical and psychological conditions are as a result of the stress they have experienced in this process, what coping tools they use and how effective religious coping is in this process are examined. For this purpose, qualitative research method was used in the study. The universe of the research is the women who receive service from the Violence Prevention and Monitoring Center and the Women's Guesthouse affiliated to the Erzincan Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services. The sample of the study consists of 15 women. Semi-structured interview technique was used in the research. The data set of the research was subjected to descriptive and content analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, coping strategies and religious coping strategies were determined for the physical and psychological disorders experienced by women who were victims of violence. In this context, it has been determined that religious coping has a positive effect in general in the process of coping with the stress experienced by women who are victims of violence.
