Abstract (EN)

The aim of the study is to compare the emotional intelligence, burnout and psy-chological wellbeing among smokers and nonsmokers. 240 adults living in Turkey and North Cyprus have been chosen randomly as the sample of the research. Research in-cludes personal information sheet about the demographic information for the partici-pants, Emotional Intelligence scale to measure emotional intelligence, burnout scale to measure the degree of burnout and psychological wellbeing scale to measure wellbeing degree of the attendants. IBM SPSS v.21 package program was used in the evaluation and analysis of the collected data. The findings showed that there is no significant dif-ference in the level of emotional intelligence, burnout and psychological wellbeing among smokers and nonsmokers. The results of the research were discussed in the light of the previous findings in order to establish guidance for other researches.
