Analysis of semantics of symbolic buildings on the context of designer-user relation

In this thesis the property of emboding and transfering ideas through image and meaning of archicture in landmark buildings are investigated by the viewpoints of users and designers. The reason of choosing landmark buildings is their wide awereness and high value of their semantic and reprentation. Therefore, during the investigation of landmark buildings through their relation of image and form is considered both by the process of the designers creation of an image and the perception of an image by the people. On this regard the perceptibility of the image that is tried to be conveyed by the designer is examined. Also the images used during the design of symbolic landmarks being perceived in other ways and stimulating unintended images to other people is studied. On the other hand hypothesis of symbolic, well known and image-conveying attributes of landmark buildings are rich in meaning is examined.
