An intertextual eye to the folktales in cinema

In this study, the relation between the folktales existing in the verbal culture and the films about the folktales in Turkish cinema has been researched through the intertextuality.The intertextual relations that is generally thought amoungst the written and verbal texts haven?t been considered and investigated amongst the verbal culture and visual texts so much. It has been understood that there exist many similarities between the general characteristics of the folktiles and the films in terms of style and technique, and the folktiles can also constitute the event structure of a film one-to-one. During this event structure, many semantic and figural changes occured.It has been seen that the size of these changes meet that the folktiles cover the current public story requirement by means of the films released during the transformation process to the cinema film and at the end of this process considering the approaches of the other authors notably Gerard Genette, and it is considered that it has occured to be source text. This process has been tried to explain through the mentioned methods of intertextuality.
