Abstract (EN)

In this study, the awareness of radiation workers in synchrotron radiation (SI) center which is radiation sources based on particle accelerators was evaluated. Electromagnetic radiation from free electrons is a known fact. In this section, a number of approaches to understand and comprehend the mechanism and conditions of radiation emission are presented. The conditions for the absorption or emission of electrons from a photon are evaluated. At the same time, the problems that occur in these centers in terms of synchrotron usage areas and occupational safety are emphasized. Considering these factors, a comprehensive study has been made on synchrotron term and centers. In this study, a survey was conducted to measure the radiation safety awareness with the participation of 125 radiation workers who work at the synchrotron centers located in ten different countries along with Turkey. In this study, basic information about synchrotron beam is given. The radiation properties of synchrotron, the general structure and properties of synchrotron plants are mentioned. At the same time, height, brightness, adjustability, polarity and short throw times are included within the scope of the facility features. Synchrotron areas, are given general information about the synchrotron centers in the world and Turkey. The evaluation of synchrotron centers in terms of occupational safety is mentioned. Although synchrotron centers have a lot of usage area, the term radiation is explained because there is a danger of spreading to radiation and the connection between synchrotron centers and radiation term is expressed in the thesis. Our study will shed light on the literature in terms of addressing problems arising from synchrotron centers and solution-oriented progression.
