Abstract (EN)

In this study, fully controlled stripping method was applied to Capoeta capoeta umbla which live in Lake Hazar. Eggs stripped from broodstock were fertilized with semen. Fertilization solution (30 g carbamide + 40 g salt + 10 L water) was applied for periods of 30, 45, and 60 minutes in order to remove stickiness of fertilized eggs and increase fertilization rate. After this process eggs were flushed and put into zug-jars of 7 L to be incubated. Temperature, pH and dissolved oxygen content of flowing water in zug-jars were respectively determined as 23 oC, 7.7 and 8.3 mg/L. Fertilization rates of eggs processed by fertilization solution for periods of 30, 45 and 60 minutes were respectively determined as 71.9%, 74.4% and 74.3%. Meanwhile, fertilization rate of eggs not processed by this solution was only 38.6%. After 72 hours from incubation, eggs were eyed and rates of eyeing were respectively determined as 96.9 %, 96.9 % and 97.8 % by stirring time. After 8 hours from eyeing the first pre-larvae were hatched. Hatching rates by stirring periods of 30, 45 and 60 minutes were respectively determined as 77.3 %, 80.8 % and 77.0 %. Post-larvae fully absorbed yolk-sac started to external feeding after 48 hours from hatching. According to the statistical assessment of data, difference between the group of fertilization solution applied and the group of fertilization solution not applied was significant (ANOVA, P= 498.2, P<0.001). Difference among the groups of 30, 45 and 60 minutes of fertilization solution was not significant (Kruskal-Wallis, K= 4,27, P >0.05). According to data derived from this study, fully controlled stripping of siraz was successfully achieved and use of fertilization solution was found as convenient to remove stickiness of eggs and increase fertilization rate. The best practice was one of 45 minutes in terms of stirring time in fertilization solution. Keywords: Siraz, Capoeta capoeta umbla, fully controlled, stripping, fertilization.
