Abstract (EN)
Minstrels; they are important representatives of the minstrel tradition, who are the source of transferring Turkish oral culture from generation to generation, who interpret the feelings of the society they live in, and who perform their art with or without a saz. This study deals with the life, minstrelsy and works of Ali Kızıltuğ. The study aims to determine the place of Âşık Ali Kızıltuğ, who constitutes an important link of the minstrel tradition and is one of its last representatives, within the minstrel tradition. The importance of the study is that it is the first master's thesis about Ali Kızıltuğ in area of folk literature. The problem of the study is to determine Ali Kızıltuğ's place within the Sivas minstrelsy tradition. The method used in the study is interview. The interview was recorded with a voice recorder. As a result, in this study, Âşık Ali Kızıltuğ has been tried to be explained in all its aspects. It has been determined that Ali Kızıltuğ is an important representative of the minstrelsy tradition.
