Abstract (EN)
This study investigated the influence of storage temperature and storage time on Holstein cows milk somatic cell counts (SCC) determined using the DeLeval cell counter (DCC). For this purpose, 54 samples were used from Holstein cattle milk. Milk samples were grouped from high score (>215x103 cell/ml) to low score (≤215x103 000cell/ml) according to SCC. Each milk sample was stored at different temperatures (-20ºC, 4ºC, 21ºC, 36ºC) and different storage time (fresh milk, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. hour and 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. days. The averages of logSCC were determined as 4.58±0.087 cells/ml for first group and 6.03±0.091 cells/ml for second group, respectively. In this study, the effects of storage temperature and storage time (hour and day) on logSCC were found to be statistically significant (P<0.01). Thus, logSCC was increased with the progress of storage temperature and storage time. As a results, milk samples in terms of SCC and milk quality should be said that it can sotorage in -20ºC and 4ºC'
