Views of primary school teachers on trade unions in education, science service: The case of Elaziğ province

The aim of this study is to determine the expectations and perspectives of the teachers working in the elementary schools in Elazığ in the 2017-2018 academic year. The sample group selected within the scope of the research consists of 137 people working as classroom teachers affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. In the study, which was conducted by using quantitative research method, a scale was applied to determine the personal, professional, social, political and views of trade union structure. The data obtained from the scale were tested by using SPSS 22.0 program, independent groups t test and one way ANOVA tests. As a result of the research, it was found that teachers' views from the unions were at different levels.
