Abstract (EN)

eTwinning is a virtual online network community for schools in Europe. Formation established by the European Commission in 2005. In 2009, Turkey has been included. Turkey is in the first position in the number of projects and countries involved in eTwinning as the number of registered teachers. The aim of this study is to examine the eTwinning platform, which includes thousands of teachers in our country, in the eyes of classroom teachers and to receive their opinions. The study group of the research consists of 26 classroom teachers selected by the criterion sampling model of the purposeful sample. As a criterion, it was preferred that the teachers in the study group were classroom teachers who received a quality label with their eTwinning projects during the research year and ranked among the first 200 people across the country. In the study, by using semi-structured interview forms, four questions were directed to the interview form containing demographic characteristics and nine questions including research questions. It is a qualitative study in terms of research approach and phenomenology is preferred as a design. The obtained data were analyzed using both descriptive and content analysis methods. The data were first divided into codes, close codes were combined into themes, tabulated and written in the findings section. As a result of the findings, it has been concluded that eTwinning teachers who carry out eTwinning projects have given them and their students a lot in a positive way, learned the Web2.0 tools, developed themselves professionally, and encountered supportive and obstructive elements in many ways. Similar results were obtained when examined in the current studies. In the light of these findings, it was stated that classroom teachers can easily carry out eTwinning projects, project making is a passion and volunteer work, the benefits of making projects can be evaluated separately on the basis of students, teachers and parents, and can also be put as lessons in education faculties.
