The investigation of relationship between elementary school teachers' class management approaches and communication skills

Elementary schools have a great importance entire education systems. Basic education skills are effected the human acts for their own live. Teachers are the role model of the modern and contemporary life in terms of the perspective of the students. The students who are at elementary school level take their teacher as a role model. Class management approaches and communication skills taken by teachers are an important parameter to achieve the targets of curriculum and develop the cognitive levels. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relation between class management approaches and communication skills of teachers at elementary schools. The research is made according to correlational survey which is the one of quantitative research models. Correlational survey model is used in the research that effect the two different situation with various variables. Research study contains the datas of 311 elementary school teachers who work in 23 different public schools in Nazilli - Aydın in 2018-2019 education year. Class Management Approach survey and Communication Skills Scale are used to get data from research group. According to the dates obtained from the research, it's found that there was a positive correlation between the classroom management approaches and communication skills. There is a positive meaningful correlation between democratic management approach who adopts and communication skills in terms of self expression, take care of communication, eagerness to communicate, active listening and obey the communications principals and there is a negative meaningful correlation between democratic management approach who adopts and communication skills in terms of self expression, take care of communication, eagerness to communicate, active listening and obey the communications principals.
