The conformation of elementary school teachers in technology: An application in Başakşehir

The human being changed himself and the society in which they are living. Everybody can see this change.Mankind reached the level of today's civilized world by the help of technology ,culture and scientific developments.Some cultures or nations which are not adopted themselves to this development will have some difficulties in economy and security. If these nations can succeed in thechnology and industry , they will live in security and will experience the comfort in life.The usage of technology in education fields will yield the more educated people which are mostly needed in the global world. The developments in technology made the world smaller , more global and remove the borders of the countries. Television and internet are being used more effectively. Students can make search in libraries of all countries through internet and can communicate with their teacher at the same time.The technology made the education independent of place and time and made it more joyfull. This situation gives the students the opportunity of repeating the class. This research will try to put the importance of teachers and their comformance to technology. The query is distributed to 200 teachers of nine different schools and the results collected two days later.The results of query as follows;The teachers who are more inclined to use technology are more open to change and self-development,The young teachers are more adaptive to technology and its usage in education -the older teachers wanted to replenish themselves with the help of universities the older teachers do not want to leave their students from first year to fifth year,The teachers who are using technology are more successfull in costructive training method and they are always giving some web site address to their students.The answers to query differ seriously in groups described in below:- according to the sex,- age groups,- univercity training,- internet connection at home,- the usage of internet,- the training at work,- experience in profession.Keywords: Elementary School Teacher, Development İn Technology , Chanage İn Society
