Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to determine the opinions of classroom teachers about life skills. The research was carried out with 15 volunteer teachers working in Rize Province in the academic year of 2021-2022. A structured interview form and Life Skills Handbook developed by the researcher were used to collect the data of this qualitative study. According to the results of the research, it was seen that the teachers exemplify many of the life skills in the 2018 Life Studies Curriculum through the acquisitions of this life skill, which they do not know. Teachers stated that they found life skills teaching important. The need for additional resources to reach life skills activities is another result that was achieved. It was concluded that the teachers carried out activities involving student life that put the student in the center in teaching life skills. Children who could not gain self-control and balanced nutrition skills, which are life skills, during the distance education process, had difficulty in following the lesson; Children who took the life skills were able to follow the lesson and fulfill their homework and responsibilities. It is recommended that teachers participate in life skills training in order to learn life skills in mkre detail included in the Life Studies Curriculum.
