Tendencies of theses produced between 1998-2017 in primary school teaching

The purpose of this study is to determine the tendencies of postgraduate theses made in the field of primary school teaching between 1998-2017 in terms of demographic properties and content. In this study, within the scope of qualitative research method, document analysis was used. The documents used in the research were provided from the National Thesis Center, provided that they meet the determined criteria. The theses reached, existing in the National Thesis Center in the detailed searching section, were searched by selecting the branch of science as " primary school teaching", leave case "on leave", and the years "1998-2017". As a result of the search, 1099 graduate theses were reached. All the theses reached were included in the research. In the research, 'Thesis Review Form' was used as a data collection tool. The data obtained from the study were analyzed using the content analysis technique. The results of this study indicated that the theses examined in the research were published most in 2010. The next finding of the study was concerned with "primary school teacher" used most as a keyword. Besides, the most quantitative research method was used when looking at the method section, the most frequently used data collection tools were scale andquestionnaire, and the most used data analysis program was SPSS.
