Abstract (EN)
Water is the most important natural resource for living things. Water also means civilization. Because the first civilizations have developed in places where water resources. Unlike water, the water is actually a scarce resource. Growing of agriculture and industry, climate change, increasing population and water policies of countries cause water problem. The Middle East has a geographically dry climate and is one of the regions where water is most needed. The effect of global actors in the region and political instability have complicated the water problem. Rivers crossing the border of more than one country in the world, so transboundary waters can cause water sharing and usage problems among actors. The Middle East Region is one of the regions where conflicts arising from the sharing and use of transboundary waters are experienced. This situation arouse anxiety for the future of the countries in the region. Water has become even more important today in terms of the security of countries as an economic, strategic and strength element. This study, which is named Transboundary Water Problem And Security Phenomenon:The Case Of Middle East investigated the cause and effect relationship of the conflicts arising from the transboundary waters which is expected to be in the Middle East Region and the region, of the water problem in the world. Qualitative research method was used in the research. The Middle East region has been on the agenda from the past to the present day in terms of strategic, economic as well as politically. The region most needed water in the world. Water is more importantant than petrol in endless complex region. As a result of conflicts arising considered from transboundary waters in the Middle East continues water wars would be in the region throughout coming years.
