Social foundations of the thought of Musa Carullah Bigiyef in the context of the idea of Islamism

Although Islamism appears itself as a political ideology in the 19th century, people who have accepted the religion of Islam since the birth of Islam have attemp-ted to make the Qur'an's commandments prevail in every aspect of life. Many Islamists that have lived in History, have tried to prove that Islam is not only a book about the hereafter, but also a religion with all kinds of competences that regu-lating social life. Especially in the 19th century, the fall of the Islamic World in all areas against the west has led some Muslim intellectuals to seek solutions to this negative situation. Many Muslim intellectuals have entered an intense effort and many recipes have been presented. However, Muslim states used these prescriptions to achieve military success rather than to regulate social life. Therefore, the proposed solutions are ineffective. Musa Carullah Bigiyef, who lived in this period of crisis, is one of the intellectuals who tried to get rid of all the laziness and backwardness of Muslims. He says that the religion of Islam should be understood correctly, and all problems should be analysis by the intelligent people as a part of Qur'an and Sunnah and this analysis should be according to the conditions of the time. He also argued that many controversial issues were ignored and resolved and according to him Muslim scholars have been obsessed with empty kalamic issues, and also encouraged apery by sectarian attitudes, and produced hundreds of works, articles and newspapers. In this study, some views of Musa Carlullah Bigiyef on social issues within the framework of Islamic tradition were explained using historical scanning model and document analysis technique.
