Özet (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to research the impact of social media use, particularly Facebook, on family relationships. This study examines whether Facebook use causes isolation and withdrawal among users, leads to neglect of family duties, or whether Facebook causes problems and conflict within the family. It also examines Whether the consequences of excessive Facebook use differs by gender. The study used a descriptive approach. The sample consists of regular hand-picked psychology components with simple settings. Therefore, a questionnaire consisting of five sections was prepared. SPSS and T-test were used to process and analyze the study pieces, and frequencies, percentages, arithmetic means and standard deviations were calculated. Permanently significant differences were determined according to the gender variable. The statistical process yielded the following results: Using social networking sites (Facebook) does not lead to isolation and introversion. It does not pave the way for family mistakes not to be neglected. It does not lead to family events and disagreements. There is no permanent significant difference in the impact on family relationships.
