The economic situation of the Uzbekistan in the Soviet Periods

The Uzbekistanis are a Turkish tribe that has the roots in the fifteenth century.However the country faced the Russian thread in 1826 during the period of NasrullahKhan(1826-1860). Russia considered The Turkistan Region as a domination area, after theyhad been defeated in The Crimean War and stopped in Europe and The Middle East. In 1870Russia declared that they had annexed all the countries they had invaded in The TurkistanRegion.Russia not only implemented programs to change the economy but also thedemographical structure in Turkistan. In the year 1939, in Uzbekistan, 5,6 percent of thepopulation was European whereas, in the year 1947 this rate increased to 20 percent.The Soviet Russia regarded Uzbekistan as a warehouse of raw materials, and arrangedthe industrial and the technological investments just enough to run the raw material sources.Uzbekistan was forced to be dependent to the other republics in production of half-processedand processed goods. This dependency has put The Republic Uzbekistan into the category ofthe countries importing most of its processed products, and has resulted in budget deficit. Oneof the most tragic points of the imperialist exploit is that Uzbekistan wasn?t given the right todetermine the cost of the exported goods.The Soviet Russia has followed three kinds of agricultural policy in Uzbekistan. Theseare the policies of cotton production, artificial watering and gaining new planting fields. InUzbekistan, the collective property has been replaced with private property and theagricultural fields have been run by Sovkhozes and Kolkhozes organizations. The sameproblem occurred in the industrial field too. Thus, Uzbekistan, couldn?t reach an independentstructure in their industry because of the centrist policies in managing the industries spread toregions.
