Individual entrepreneurship perception levels of students in sports education

The concept of entrepreneurship has taken the necessary place in the changing structure of society and entrepreneurship types have been included in the literature and have been the subject of various studies. Although the entrepreneurship researches, which have been developing in recent years, show an increasing structure in general, it has started to attract attention especially in the sports industry in recent years. Individual entrepreneurship, which is among the types of entrepreneurship, will provide great advantages over the students who receive sports education, especially with the fact that it is included in the sports field literature. For this reason, the main purpose of the study is to evaluate the individual entrepreneurship perceptions of the students who receive sports education by taking their opinions on individual entrepreneurship. The universe of the research consists of the students (3088) studying in the School of Physical Education and Sports and the Faculty of Sport Sciences affiliated to the Fırat Basin TRB-1 Region (Fırat University, İnönü University and Bingöl University). The sample of the study consists of 530 volunteer participants determined using the simple random method. Licensed SPSS 24.0 package program was used for data analysis. In the screening method to measure "individual entrepreneurship perception levels of students receiving sports education", the questionnaire technique was used. In the study, "Individual Entrepreneurship Perception Scale (BSTO) was used. In order to evaluate the data, it was first examined whether it showed a normal distribution, and it was seen that it showed a normal distribution. Therefore, parametric analysis methods were preferred. Number, percentage, mean and standard deviation were used as descriptive statistical methods in the evaluation of the data. In order to determine whether there is a significant difference in the individual entrepreneurship perception levels of the students receiving sports education, independent t-test and One-way variance analysis were performed among the variables and the results were interpreted. The significance level of the statistical analysis made was accepted as p <0.05. According to the analysis results, it was concluded that there was no significant difference between the individual entrepreneurship perception of the students and the variables of gender and age. However, it was found that there was a significant difference between students' individual entrepreneurship perception and department variable. In addition, the high arithmetic mean of the expressions related to the individual entrepreneurship perception scale as a result of the research revealed that students' perceptions of individual entrepreneurship were positive.
