Abstract (EN)

The resarch was conducted on adult male trainers above 20 who has similar socioeconomical standarts and exercise in a private sports club between December 2013- February 2014 to determine their nutritional habits and make suggestions to eliminate related deficiencies. The research has been done through face to face surveys. Through this survey, the sociodemographic and health background as well as consumption of vitamins, minerals, sweeteners, alcohol, caffeinated drinks, , the amount of supplements and the records of all foods consumed in three days time have been inquired. It has been found that 92% of participants use ergogenic aids. These participants are also asked which supplements and ergojenic aids they consume. Through this survey it has been concluded that 100% of them use proetin powders, 31.5 % amino acids , 17.4 glutamin, 15.2 % L-carnitine, 13 % BCAA, 8.7% CLA, 7.6% caffein, 6.5% nitric oxide, 4.3% arginine, 3.3% cratine and 3.3% use steroids. 88 % of pariticipants mentioned that they didn‟t consult with an expert or any dietician while using these supplements. It is established that there is no statistically meaningful correlation between daily egg consumption and muscles It is also established that there is no statistically meaningful difference between differing levels of daily consumption of protein powder and muscle averages (kg) of persons who engage in sports. Suggestions and directions about using food supplement products should be taken from a dietician. Key words: Supplement, body building, muscle
