Abstract (EN)

The aim of the research is to examine the self-esteem in the adolescents who do sports and not, and the personality structures in the outward turn. A study group of 136 participants was used in the study with adolescents between the ages of sixteen and eighteen. Personal Information Form, Coopersmith Self-Esteem Scale and Eysenck Personality Scale's subscale that introvert-extravert were used in the study. When the results of the research were examined, when the self-esteem and introvert-extravert scores of the students were compared, the average score of female students was higher than male students on both scales. The statistically significant difference in the mean score of introvert-extravert for girls was not statistically significant for the mean score of self-esteem. When analyzed according to ages, there was no statistically significant difference between the average scores of in-outward turnout and the mean score of self-esteem was found to be statistically higher than that of 17 years old students at 16 years of age. Although it has been found that the frequency of sports and the frequency of sports make a positive difference between self-esteem and out-of-person personality constructs, the differences found are not statistically significant. The most meaningful result in the analysis is the positive effect of doing sports on self-esteem. Although the scores of the self-esteem scores of the adolescents who did sports and those who did not do sports were not statistically significant, the average scores of the sportsmen were found to be about 10% higher than the other groups. According to the findings obtained at the end of the study, it was seen that doing sport had a positive effect on self-esteem.
