The review of the effect of communication skills levels on entrepreneurship of the students in sports management department

This study aims to find out the communication skills and entrepreneurship levels of Sports Management students and to examine their situations of being influenced in terms of demographic variables. The sample group of this research consists of 272 participants, 85 from Akdeniz University, 49 from Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, 63 from Mersin University, 75 from Çukurova University, who are students of Sports Management Department in 2021-2022. In this research, "Communication Skills Rating Scale" and "University Students Entrepreneurship Scale" have been used as data collection tools. Independent t-test, one-way (ANOVA), correlation and regression analyses were performed on the data obtained in the study. The data were made and interpreted with the help of IBM SPSS Statistic 23 software. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that there is no significant difference in communication skills and entrepreneurship levels of Sports Management students participating in the study according to gender, age, class, university, family income variables (p>0.05); however, there is a significant difference in the entrepreneurship level (p=0.012) according to the active sports variable. It is seen that those who do active sports have a higher score than those who do not. However, it is not seen that there is a statistically significant difference in communication skills (p=0.307) according to the active sports variable.
