Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to investigate; NR3C1 gene Bcl1 polymorphism on steroid resistant and steroid sensitive patients and relationship between this gene polymorphism with steroid resistant and steroid sensitive NS patients. Also to determine the effects of relaps frequency, obesity and hypertension in nephrotic syndromeThe age, sex, weight, length, arterial blood pressure, relaps frequency, body mass index, trailing and cure period and glomerular filtration speed of all patients were recorded. Blood pressure values were evaluated by taking three different measurement?s average. The patients?s steroid usage time beginning from their illness was determined and their cumulative steroid dosages (mg/kg) were calculated. When nephrotic syndromic 84 patients are compared according to NR3C1 gene Blc1 polymorphism genotype groups; In steroid sensitive group, 32 (65.3%) patients of 49 had CC, 15 (30.6%) had GC and 2 (4.1%) had GG allel. In steroid resistant group, 19 (54.3%) patients of 35 had CC allel, 16 (45.7%) had GC alel but GG allel didn?t seen. In control group, 39 (59.1%) patients had CC, 21 (31.8%) had GC and 6 (9.1%) had GG allel. It was detected that NR3C1 gene Bcl1 polymorphism allel distributions of steroid resistant, steroid sensitive and control groups were similar to each other. They didn?t have any effect on trailing parameters (VKİ, systolic and diastolic tension, cumulative steroid dosage, relapse number). According to these findings it can be said that, there wasn?t a role of NR3C1 gene Bcl1 polymorphism to the variabilities of steroid answer seen on NS. However it is known that, studies especially the genetic ones, on wider groups and of all polymorphisms will give more healthy results.Key words: NR3C1, Steroid Resistant Nephrotic Syndrome, Gene polymorphism
