The effects of stress sources; on business world: Application at primary and secondary schools in Kütahya

VI ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to determine the stress sources which have some effects on work satisfaction of the teachers who work at primary and second schools, and to analyse the relationships between the stress sources and work satisfaction. The sample of the research is selected among the teachers who work in Kütahya during the 2002-2003 educational term with the method of group sampling. There are eighty-nine teachers in our research. The data of the research were collected by the help of the forms which are prepared and applied by the researcher. The questionnaire was distributed to one hundred school teacher and eighty-nine of the forms were collected. That means the feedback rate of the survey in 89 percent. The answers to the questionnaire divided into meaningful groups according to the including of the answers. Then they became a chart and the answer numbers and percentages were calculated. In the research, chi-square technique is applied in order to determine the relationship among the variables. At the end of the research, it is concluded that there is a relationship between the work satisfaction and institutional factors such as work-load, to have the responsibility of the job, the time-pressure of the schedule, dissatisfactorial equipment, lack of leadership of the management in the aspect of job, physical conditions monotony of the job, relationships with the management and personal factors such as age, marital status, service period. We couldn't find meaningful relationship between work satisfaction and sex, the income of the job social status of the job, relationships with friends.
