The goal of the study is to determine the role of the creatine phosphokinase (CPK) enzyme, troponin cTnI, and some biochemical variables in patients with heart disease at Kirkuk General Hospital and Hawija General Hospital, and to compare the results of these patients to the results of a healthy control group to see if there are any significant differences between the biochemical variables. From the beginning of November 2021 to the end of March 2022, the study included (50) patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) and (50) healthy adults as a control group. Troponin I and several biochemical variables were measured as part of the research. When the findings were compared, the following was discovered: Magnesium measurement, as it was found that there is a significant decrease in patients High-density lipoprotein HDL, as well as low-density lipoprotein (LDL) showed a significant decrease in patients when compared. Troponin in heart patients compared with the control group (the healthy ones), where there was a significant increase in the patients.
