Abstract (EN)
In this study, pesticide pollution in water sources and acute toxic effects of some pesticides on guppy (Poecilia reticulata) fish were investigated. The herbicides we use in the study are widely used in industrial agriculture. Three different of herbicids (glyphosate, 2,4-D and acetochlorine) were used in the experiment. In bioassays, the herbicids contains given concentration were added to each of them by using five different aquariums, one of which was control. To determine the acute toxic effects of glyphosate, 2,4-D and acetochlorine on the lepistes (Poecilia reticulata) at certain time intervals, the static method was used. The lethal concentration (LC50) values of the guppy fish against glyphosate, 2,4-D and acetochlorine at 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours intervals were calculated as 7.051, 1.201 and 0.557 mg/L, respectively. According to these results, the acute toxic sequence of herbicides studied in terms of guppy fish is acetochlorine > 2,4-D > glyphosate. In this study, it has been investigated whether pesticide pollution is present in the water resources of some river basins where the agricultural activities around Rize are intense. In the water samples taken from İyidere, Çiftekavak, Salarha and Fırtına streams, according to 293 different pesticide EPA methods, GC-MS and LC-MS devices did not exceed any pesticide measurement limit. Therefore, it can be said that some herbicides used in agricultural practices in the region do not yet have effects on water resources.
