The use of biyo-stimulants in hydroponic growing parsley

Abstract (EN)

Bio-stimulants have been used in greenhouse hydroponic grown parsley for , yield increase and high product quality. For this purpose, two successive experiments were established. In the first one, the dose determination of the bio-stimulants was made, and in the second trial double and triple bio-stimulant combinations were made by the most appropriate doses. On the first experiment; control, fulvic acid 80 ppm, fulvic acid 120 ppm, amino acid 40 ppm, amino acid 80 ppm, chitosan 0.3 ml/L, chitosan 0.6 ml/Ldoses were tested. Compared to the control, the yield increase was found to be 24% in fulvic acid 80 ppm and 30% in chitosan 0.3 ml/Lapplications. In the second experiment, the total yield increase compared to the control were 74% in the fulvic 80 ppm + chitosan 0.3 ml/L , 58% in the amino acid 40 ppm + chitosan 0.3 ml/L and 41% in the triple combination of the amino acid 40 ppm + chitosan 0.3 ml/L+ fulvic acid 80 ppm. Vitamin C is one of the most important nutrients for the parsley plant. In the first trial, the amount of vitamin C was found to be highest as 75.35mg/100g in 120ppm application of fulvic acid. In the second trial, the best bio-stimulant combination that increased vitamin C as 64.52mg/100g was the fulvic acid 80ppm + chitosan 0.3 ml/L. In the first experiment, the total phenol content in parsley leaves ranged from 237.9 to 391.1 mg GA/100 g TA. In the second trial, it ranged from 414.5 to 560.3. Total flavonoids ranged from 420-530.5 539.9 mg RU/100g TA in the first trial and between 513.9 and 539.9 mg RU/100g TA in the second trial.Nitrate content of the parsley plant varied between 423 and 1153 mg/kg in the first trial. The lowest nitrate was found in the fulvic acid applications. In the second trial, nitrate was detected between 460 and 937mg/kg. The lowest nitrate was obtained from the fulvic acid 80ppm+ chitosan 0.3 ml/L application. As a result, bio-stimulant applications in hydroponic parsley cultivation were found to be quite successful. Chitosan 0.3 ml/L and fulvic acid 80 ppm in single applications, fulvic acid 80ppm+chitosan 0.3 ml/L and amino acid 40 ppm+chitosan 0.3 ml/L in combination are recommended.
