Abstract (EN)

This study will focus on the Mahdi state in Sudan between 1881-1899. This state, in the last quarter of the 19th century, known as the Mahdi Muhammad b. Was founded by Abdullah. The combination of internal and external factors contributed to the success of the Mahdi Revolution. Muhammad Ahmad al-Mahdi's dream state is not only to address Sudan but also to create a large Islamic state that encompasses the whole world. Mehdi's letters to the great authorities at that time contain great state dreams. After determining the foundations of his new state, Mehdi did not live long and died on June 22 after he conquered Khartoum. After the death of Muhammad Mehdi Abdullah b. Muhammad et-Teayşi came to power as successor. Muhammad Mahdi's policy to continue to pursue Abdullah b. Muhammad b. Despite his great efforts, Abdullah al-Teayşi could not achieve the great goals of Muhammad al-Mahdi due to internal strife and wars with neighboring states. The Mahdi state disturbed Britain because it was a state that threatened the interests of the British in Egypt and the Red Sea. For this reason, the Mahdi began to prepare to eliminate the state. In this way, they ended an alliance with the Egyptian government and the Mahdi state. Thus, Sudan has stretced to a new era known as the British-Egyptian joint administration.
