Evaluation of Sugla Lake area in terms of economic geography

Wetlands are sensitive places where we witness human nature interaction and need to be worked on. The purpose of this study is to examine the conditions that emerged with the change of the Sugla Lake Area together with the stakeholders in interaction. Research questions such as the view and interaction of the people living in the region to the adventure of change of the lake, how much they interact with the lake in daily life, what are the orientations of the people according to the changing conditions were taken into action. This study has been tried to be continued under the conditions of the global epidemic period. Sugla Lake is an understudied area of economic interaction in Turkey, the existing studies mostly focused on the physical features of the old lake. Therefore, the economic and social structure of the lake, the process of change and its relationship with people have been neglected. The results of the research showed that there is a continuous interaction between the Sugla Lake Area and the local people, but the use of which is changing. The utilization activities and sustainable use of the Suğla Region are important for our local and global wealth.
