Abstract (EN)

In Islamic mysticism and literature, which considers developing the spiritual side of the believer rather than the outward appearance, mostly metaphorical expression is preferred to explain abstract meanings. In this study, we tried to examine the work of Sultân Veled, who is considered the founder of Mevlevî, called Rebâbnâme, in terms of metaphorical expression and we searched for the answer to the basic question "Which words and meanings did our author use while making mystical explanations in his work?". As a result of the research in question we tried to classify the metaphors we found according to their relevance to the fields of "Takhalluq", "Tahaqquq", "Seyr u sülûk" and "Existence". This study that we did on Rebâbnâme consists of three parts. The first part is a brief introduction about Sultân Veled, his life, science and mystical personality and works and the nature of metaphor. In the second part, after giving information about the Rebâbnâme and the studies on it, the metaphors in the work were examined and classified under mystical titles. In the last section, there is a comprehensive metaphor index created by scanning the work from beginning to end. Keywords: Sufism, Sultan Veled, Rebâbnâme, Metaphor, Allah, Human Being.
