Abstract (EN)

In our country, there is no report or described data related on the environmental impact of building health sector. Until today, patient health and safety has been one of research and applications field in the health sector. The response of the health sector for sustainable hospital, as a result of a few private hospitals popularization of construct building 'Sustainable Architecture' applications put into effect of 'LEED Certified'. According to US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), health structures are the second highest energy consuming building type after food sector. Hospital buildings consume more then double energy compared to ordinary buildings, it generates approximately 30% carbon emissions sourced from the building. As a result of intense human circulation such as sensitivity of user's health, requirement and comfort issues increased, the new hospital planning and criteria have been moved to the agenda. Todays sustainable, ecological, green and eco-friendly constructions have been popular. These terms influence buildings in various ways, which are evaluating the land through the life cycle of structures, designing in a holistic social and environmentally perception, suit into climatic conditions, consuming up to needs, tending to use sustainable energy resources, using non-waste material, fostering collaboration and sensitive for eco-system. Complex building design and implementation are extremely sensitive process. As a result of the wrong policies, human comfort and energy efficiency of buildings are ignored. Therefore, insufficient and unqualified working spaces have been showed up and, these spaces influence physiology of users adequately. In the research, sustainable indoor criteria's have been determined and become measurable values in order to create a hospital model that includes energy efficiency and user friendly indoors. Sustainable buildings brings integrative approach in sustainable architecture as well as interior design. Human physical and physiological elements, which affect the needs and comfort of human, are related to outdoor of buildings as well as indoor of structure. To determine a schedule that shows the requirements of indoor in hospitals, analyzing physical and social data of region of hospital, creating a template that consist of indoors comfort and sustainable design criteria's, comparing the template with examples in Turkey and other countries by analyzing qualification demonstrate the medium of thesis conceptually. In conclusion, the goal of thesis provide eco design guidance, which meet user needs and comfort and sustainable hospital model. As well as determining the design criteria's and sustainable interior designs for new hospitals of future are the another main goals of the thesis. Key words: Eco-friendly, sustainable hospital, eco-design, ecological interior design.
