Disaster and climate change policies in the context of sustainable development

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship of climate change with disasters and sustainable development goals within the framework of the 2015-2030 Sustainable Development Goals; It is to show that human development cannot be achieved through sustainable development without first combating climate change and the disasters it triggers. In the first part of the study, the conceptual framework of disaster, climate change and development and the literature related to these concepts are presented. In the second part of the study, sustainable development goals in terms of climate change and disasters are examined one by one. At the end of this section, it has been determined that climate change and the disasters caused by it negatively affect the achievement of the 2030 sustainable development goals. In the last part of the study, climate change and disaster policies are discussed under two main headings as global and Turkey.
