Abstract (EN)
Value stream mapping method is a technique that enables to see and analyze all value-added, non-value-added activities in a system holistically. The data obtained from the value stream mapping method are static. Therefore, in this study, an integrated value stream mapping approach, which includes simulation modeling and risk management approaches, is recommended for dynamic processes. With the proposed integrated approach, it is aimed to determine the bottlenecks for the production and service sectors with dynamic processes by using the value stream mapping method, simulation modeling and risk analysis approach together, and the implementation of the determined improvement ideas after evaluating the implementation decisions with risk analysis, by gaining an understanding of continuous improvement. The proposed integrated approach has been applied to the process of the product with the highest production volume and delay in order delivery in a company. The process from the raw material procurement of the selected product to the final product was examined with the proposed integrated approach, the resulting improvement alternatives were evaluated with a risk analysis approach, and the improvement implementation decisions were determined as a result of the risk analysis assessment. As a result of the study, 20% improvement was achieved in the cycle time of the product examined in the enterprise, thanks to the improvement suggestions decided to be implemented. Key Words: Value Stream Mapping, Simulation Modelling, Lean Production, Risk Analysis
