Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the use of fractional degree proportional integral controller structure with two degrees of freedom for vector control of permanent magnet synchronous motor is investigated. Vector control method in permanent magnet synchronous motors is to control the alternating current motor by modeling it as a freely excited direct current motor. There are generally 3 types of control methods for alternating current motors. V/f control which is scalar control, Vector control (Field Oriented Control) and Direct torque control methods. V/f is an open loop control method used in simple applications. Vector control and Direct torque control methods are high performance advanced control methods. Permanent magnet synchronous motors, one of the AC motors, are becoming more and more common as they adapt to today's industry needs and are frequently used in electric vehicles, household appliances, air and water vehicles. With their widespread use, studies and researches on synchronous motors have recently increased. With the development of digital processors, a number of complex control methods have been put into practice from theory. In line with these possibilities, fractional control methods have recently been compared with classical control methods in improvement studies in control methods and found a response in motor control algorithms. In the operation of the processes, it is important that the control parameters are ideal together with the control method. Optimization methods in the ideal selection of control parameters with innovations in controller structures; It gives more successful results than the trial and error method. In this context, the parameters of the fractional degree proportional integral controller with two degrees of freedom and the conventional proportional integral controller used in the study were determined by the Ant Colony Optimization algorithm. Simulation studies were carried out in Matlab-Simulink environment. When the simulation results are examined, it is seen that the proposed fractional degree of proportional integral controller with two degrees of freedom outperforms the conventional proportional integral controller in the vector control of the permanent magnet synchronous motor.
