Özet (EN)
Women can start and manage businesses to contribute to economic growth by financially supporting their own families. Therefore, keeping women away from participating in entrepreneurship is considered a great loss for society. Women in the safe zone in Northern Syria constitute the largest segment of the society with a rate of over 50%, but they are not sufficiently represented in entrepreneurial projects due to the social traditions and cultural beliefs of the society, which considers women too weak to do business. Based on this, this study provides a general presentation and analysis of the reality and characteristics of women's entrepreneurship in the safe zone in Northern Syria, and also considers the supportive roles of local councils, humanitarian organizations and associations in women's initiation of new projects. In the study, which touched upon the most important obstacles that women entrepreneurs face when starting their entrepreneurial projects, the most important factors affecting women's entrepreneurship and the continuity of this entrepreneurship were also discussed. The data in this study was obtained by obtaining permission from 210 businesswomen in the safe zone in northern Syria using a quantitative descriptive approach, and then these data were analyzed and interpreted numerically and proportionally. The results of the study show that women entrepreneurs in the safe zone in Northern Syria lack capital, lack of credit guarantee, lack of experience, lack of raw materials, and lack of information when starting their projects. It has shown that it faces many challenges such as the security situation, lack of markets and communities, and the lack of acceptance of the idea of women's entrepreneurship in society. Finally, solutions that can help overcome these challenges are proposed. For example, in order to prevent these challenges, women entrepreneurs, their families and communities, local councils, humanitarian organizations and researchers need to work together.
