The effects of migration as a result of the Syria events on security strategies

The phenomenon of migration refers to events that civilizations have faced for centuries and often cause serious consequences. This situation, which is experienced for many reasons, is divided according to its types as well as according to its impact areas. The Syrian migration, which is the most recent migration in our century, has especially affected its border neighbors. One of the countries bordering Syria is Turkey. Millions of Syrians immigrated to Turkey due to this situation made compulsory by the civil war. This situation, which has an international repercussion, has affected not only Turkey but also many countries, whether they are border neighbors or not. The Syrian migration has affected the Turkish society the most due to its border neighborhood and transit position to Europe. The biggest problem brought by immigration is that it causes security concerns in the place of immigration. This state of war, in which the concern of border security is experienced, has created concerns in areas such as economy, health and social security in Turkey, along with migration. And the phenomenon of migration has become something that causes changes in all areas. As a result, this study deals with the migration caused by the Syrian civil war and tries to explain the dynamics of the migration phenomenon by addressing the policies of the migrated lands against the refugees.
