Mutashabih Al-Quran in Tabâtabâî's tafseer Al-Mîzân

Because of the effort of understanding and because of the fact that societies have different mindsets of their own; verses of The Holy Quran has been commented differently. One of the most concentrated science among Quranic sciences is Mutashabih al-Quran. The issues in questions are of the verse, word or letters which have closed meanings in the Quran or have difficulty in choosing from more than one meaning. Herewith the thesis, one of the most important Shia Muslim scholars of the last period, Tabâtabâî's description of al-Mîzân fî Tefsîri'l-Kur'ân, especially the explanation of the theological verses from the mu'bih verses and their approach to the subject was discussed. Author's unique and different views have been revealed. In addition to that, it is intended to establish how the topic was viewed by different scholars making use of the classical tafseer resources such as those of imams as Imam Mâtürîdî, Zemahşerî and Beyzâvî.
