Özet (EN)

Toolpath generation algorithms have an important place under CAM applications. Nowadaysit?s getting wider the importance which is given to the toolpath generation algorithm. Becausetoolpath generation algorithms directly affect the productivity and production cost.In the presented study, after CNC and CAM subjects have been looked over, the mostimportant toolpath generation algorithms have been studied. Paper includes the related studieswith toolpath generation algorithms. The main goal of the thesis is examination of thedifferent toolpath generation method in rough machining of pockets. In this study it?sespecially studied the machining time of the tools which have different diameters.Related with main goal, two applications have been examined. In the first application fourdifferent toolpath generation methods which are Hilbert, Peano space filling curves andisoparametric, offsetting tool paths have been compared. Offsetting method has been selectedwhich has the shortest toolpath length. In the second application an aluminium part has beenmachined with two different tools that have different diameters and it?s decided that proposedmethod can be employed in the toolpath applications.Keywords: Toolpath Generation Algorithms, Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM)JÜRİ:1.
