Abstract (EN)
In Turkey, approximately 1,300,000 people are carriers of beta-thalassemia, and there are around 4,000 patients with beta-thalassemia. Iron chelation therapy is necessary to prevent and treat complications of iron overload. The aim of this study is to investigate the possible hearing function loss in patients diagnosed with Beta Thalassemia Major who are being followed up and treated at the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology clinic of Dicle University.
