The free Republican Party in Cumhuriyet and Son Posta Newspapers as a source for historical research August 1930-January 1931

This study evaluates the establishment, development and closure of the Free Republican Party (SCF) , which was established on 12 August 1930, through the newspapers whose names were Cumhuriyet and Son Posta.As known, in Turkey's hard conditions , Free Republican Party (SCF) was established by Fethi Okyar, but has been fairly short-lived.This allowed it to be interpreted as not having the necessary conditions in the country for the transition to democracy.In such an environment, the approach of media organs is also very important. Because the press gives us many important clues in terms of shedding light on the period.Especially in a period of extraordinary conditions such as when SCF was established , all political activities are also need to be analyzed through newspapers.In this study, the news and columns about SCF which were published in Cumhuriyet and Son Posta newspapers , were evaluated and transferred in a chronological order and their indexes were extracted.
