History, aesthetic and gender: Women image in Zeugma

Zeugma citizens who lived two thousand years ago overwhelmed with extreme hot weather conditions due to the climate of that geography and started to assemble mosaics on the floors of houses and yards surrounded by walls wwhich were colled "hayat" (life) with coloful pebble Stones collected from Euphrates River. These mosaics turning into art in time, contained impartant values in terms of history, culture and aesthetics and started to reflect political, economical and ethnographic structure of that era. Mosaics discussed as archeological or touristic issues until today have been reconsidered as a sociological issue by reanalyzing witth semeiotle reading. It is desired to find out communal views of sex roles and femininity images belages belonging to that era. Some behaviors committing today's prople's codes have been reconsidered by researching whether these communal views have a connection with today or not.
