Nutritive circumstances of women in agriculture, their nutritional habits and establishment of their nutrition knowledge level

This workout was applied to find out nutritive circumstances,nutritional habits and level of nutrition knowledge of women who work in agriculture. Sample study was formed by searching 206 women workers in agriculture who are living in countryside and villages of Aybastı Town of Ordu Province. This research was formed by using descriptive method which is a type of scanning model.In order to obtain accurate and unbiased data and to be able to fit those data into statistical analysis and because of its practical use ,questionnaire forms were used. This survey was created by using face-to-face method.Statistical analysis of obtained data was evaulated by SPSS 15.0 software.Outcome of this research shows that,the majority of women workers in agriculture are in 31-40 age group (which is 48.6%). 77.7% of them graduated from primary school and 85.9% of them are married.72.3% of them have 3 meals a day. When we look at meal misses, 26.3 % of women sometimes do not have their lunch, 24.8% of them sometimes do not have their dinner and 22.8% of them sometimes do not have their breakfast. It?s also pointed out that, 21.8% of women workers do not have breakfast because of lack of appetite, 22.8 % of them do not have lunch because of lack of time and 11.1% of them do not have dinner because of sickness.The average volume of nutrition knowledge level is 5.56 and value of nutrition habits are 104.75. There is not much meaningful differences between nutrition knowledge level and age (p<0.05) but it occurs that there is a meaningful difference between age and nutritional habits (p<0.001). Those diferences especially appear on 31-40 age group. Also there is no meaningful difference between status of women who agriculture and their nutrition knowledge level and nutritional habits (p<0.05). Generally we can say that nutritional habits are in beter position that nutrition knowledge level.But comprehensive studies about this subject needs to be applied. So, real ideas beyond thoughts and causation relation will significantly occur.Keywords: Women workers in agriculture ,nutrition levels,nutritional habits.
