Özet (EN)
This study, which deals in depth with the theoretical and practical aspects of the concept of design and the design process, presents a comprehensive research on biomimetic design, ecosystem and innovative design approaches. Firstly, the basic principles and historical development of traditional design approaches are discussed and how the balance between aesthetics and functionality is established. Then, the concept of biomimetic design is examined in detail and the potential of nature as a source of inspiration for engineering and design processes is evaluated. The levels of biomimetic design are compared with the principles of natural ecosystems and how these levels can be integrated and applied to design and the digital environment is explored. In the context of the ecosystem level of biomimetic design, the design process has a cyclical and feedback structure rather than a linear one, and the possible contributions of the interaction of various actors and information sharing on the effectiveness of this process are evaluated. The study also discusses the creation of the infrastructure of the interior design ecosystem and its anticipated contributions to the design process. Optimizing the communication between the client, designer and other variables that have an impact on the process through digital platforms, optimizing and redefining the process with data analysis and artificial intelligence-supported decision mechanisms are discussed. In the first part of the thesis, the research problem, the purpose and importance of the research, assumptions, limitations and the methodology of the research are presented. In the second part of the study, the concept of design is examined in depth and other issues related to the concept of design are investigated and presented. The second part of the study is a compilation study specific to the concept of design. In the third chapter, biomimetic design and other related issues are discussed and the ecosystem level, which is the basis of the study, is emphasized. The fourth chapter includes the research and examination of the ecosystem concept. In the fifth part of the study, a design ecosystem infrastructure for the field of interior architecture is tried to be developed. Subsequently, analyses related to this infrastructure and supporting studies for the infrastructure were carried out. The study ends with conclusions and recommendations.
