Özet (EN)

Information age has brought many problems such as globalization, acceleration of intercultural transitions, psychological pressure on people, the curvature of the ever-increasing knowledge which still continues to rise, a series of applications formerly owned by a privileged professional class can now easily be adopted by almost everyone, drift to the popular one from meaningful information that will improve us, the sameness in design, identification of design education with computer, skipping design steps that support creativity, student profile graduated from a secondary education system based on rote-learning and focused on getting a diploma and professional training that cannot be fit into four years. In the face of these problems, education system remaining from the industrial age seems to be inadequate. The system of education in the age of information must be; flexible, experiential, experience-based, upskilling problem-solving, teaching not information but how to access information, interdisciplinary and critical. However, many of the trainers agree that these features cannot be achieved entirely through the formal education system alone. In the information age, certain features we expect a designer to possess can only be gained in non-formal settings. Within the scope of this research, it is argued that the workshop activities should be integrated into the education system and used effectively. Key Words: Workshop, Design education, Information age, Non - formal education,Graphic design.
