Abstract (EN)
In this study, isolation of Fusarium avenaceum which is the causative agent of burn spot disease was aimed. We also aimed molecular identification of the fungi species, Fusarium avenaceum which causes burn spot disease in most of crustacean species by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method. Tissue samples were taken from crayfish specimens which were caugth Bayramşah, Karaidemir and Keban dam lakes inoculated to PDA medium for cultivation. Total DNAs were extracted from fungi isolates and 310 bp fragment from ITS regions which is commonly amplified for identification of fungi were amplified by PCR using FAF1 (5'-AACATACCTTAATGTTGCCTCGG-3') and FAR (5'-ATCCCCAACACCAAACCCGAG–3') primers. PCR products were sequenced and obtained sequances from ITS regions subjected to BLAST analysis in GenBank to validate idintifications. With this study, Fusarium avenaceum associated with burn spot disease was identified and confirmed from some of crayfish populations indigenous to Turkey.
