Abstract (EN)

In this study, Te'vîlâtu'l-Qur'ân of Mâturîdî and Keshshâf of Zemahsherî, the most distinctive works of commentary collection which is written for the better understanding, interpretation and evaluation of the Qur'an, has been discussed in terms of the main headings of ulûmu'l-Qur'an. At the beginning of the study, our premise that "No commentator who wants to comment the Qur'an, can not be uninterested to ulûmu'l-Qur'an" was further strengthened at the end of the study. This study showed that each commentary carries the traces of the outer world that the author lived on the one hand, and the inner world of the author on the other hand. In both commentary which are the subject of this study in the context of ulûmu'l-Qur'an; the definition, special subject determination and quantitative classification are almost never included, but there are a style reflecting the peculiar stance of the authors. Accordingly, while Mâtürîdî dealing with the issues with semantics and maqasıd point of view, Zemahsheri has preferred a style of philological analyzes. However, the point of view that dominates the two works appears as does not completely surrend to the data of ulûmu'l-Qur'an on the one hand, and does not ignore the data in question on the other hand.
