A study intended for increase of efficiency of cold logistics applications in supply chain management

In the recent years, supply chain management and logistics management offer considerable advantages to the companies in terms of competition. Cold logistic management which is a subdivision of logistics is branch a particular specialization. Because of characteristics of the perishable foods, cold chain must be preserved through all processes until consumption then supply of raw material. Departures to occured temperature, shelf life of the products or defects viable in warehousing effect on cold logistics management. Also one of the factors effected storing perishable foods in a distribution centre occured to be constructed design of warehouse as an appropriate for the foods. Using of information systems, outsourcing and supply chain integration is essential to increase of efficiency of cold logistics applications. In this study, the importance of cold logistic management at the supply chain management has investigated. Current and future status of the distribution centre which is one of the activities within cold logistics management of a company were investigated and it was also examined what to do for increased of effenciency providing competitive advantages against rival companies.Key Words: Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Cold Logistics, Distrubition Center.
